Objectives | To sponsor the 2003 BTAC/IRTE (British Transport Advisory Committee/Institute of Road Transport Engineers) technical evaluation event in June at the MIRA test track in Nuneaton. The annual event provides the UK road transport industry with a forum for independent evaluation of claims made by manufacturers about their products’ ability to offer fuel savings to vehicle operators. Different tests are performed at this two day event, including stop/start and high speed tests.
Abstract | This report outlines the results of tests carried out on a variety of alleged fuel saving interventions at the BTAC/IRTE Technical Evaluation Event held in June 2003.
